Notes: Attribution - most likely of two editions published under this title: the other (Pekin [Paris], 1765) appeared 25 years before the STN traded the work. Also published as 'Les Abus dans les cérémonies et dans les moeurs, développées par monsieur L***'. The Du Laurens website http://du.laurens.free.fr/bibliographie/Biblio_invent.htm says the 1765 edition is probably apocryphal, but a copy exists in the University of Amsterdam central library.
