LFB Catalogue 1787
STN Catalogue 1785
Notes: Notes: Attribution - MS1007 states Paris, 1780 as does Fauche-Borel Catalogue (1787). The STN bought in 200 copies of this edition from Gay frères in August/ September 1780, but they were almost sold out at the moment the STN produced their own edition of 200 copies in January 1781. On 9 March 1781, the STN bought a further 50 copies of this edition, which they sold over the next five years. Sales figures and dating of transactions suggest that all the copies whose sales are recorded in the database belong to this edition rather than the STN's own edition.
Full title: Edelzinde, fille d'Amalzonté, reine des Goths
Edition type (by origin): Livres en Société: STN joint editions
Author(s): Frenais, Joseph-Pierre
Language(s): French
Publication: n.pl. [Neuchâtel]: Sociétè Typographique de Neuchâtel, 1781
Details: 2 volumes
Notes: Notes: Attribution - Schmidt annexe records that the STN printed 200 copies of this edition, and manuscript data dates this event to 1 January 1781. Database appears to contain no recorded sales for this edition for the six weeks following its printing: it was presumably shipped to client(s) in January to early March 1781. Manuscript annotation 'à faire le compte comme à 1000' suggests this may have been a commissioned edition or part of a joint-enterprise, perhaps involving the Société Typographique de Berne and the Société Typographique de Lausanne. The STN bought in 50 copies of another edition on 9 March 1781 and these appear to have been the copies they sold over the following few years.
